LOCAL DISASTERS - The Red Cross Disaster Action Team is called to the scene of every major local disaster. Be it a single-family fire, an apartment fire, a tornado, flood or a host of other emergencies, we are there. The Red Cross can give you information on what's happening and how we are helping.

INFORMATIONAL STORIES - Heat waves, water safety, fire prevention- we have experts on hand to help you get your audience the important information they need about these and other events. We can give you safety tips or even set up a demonstration with one of our instructors.

MILITARY ASSISTANCE - During times of war, the public has a heightened interest in our hard-working servicemen and women. The Red Cross offers a number of services for our military community, including emergency communications and financial assistance.

SPOTLIGHT FEATURES - Our volunteers provide all of our services at the Red Cross and as a result have many stories to tell. They have seen national disasters like Hurricane Gustav and local ones like fires and devastating tornadoes. Whether you are looking for a local angle on a national story or want an everyday hero feature, our volunteers can help you get it.

ATTEND A CLASS - Each year, we train over 22,000 people in safety and first aid courses, not including our aquatics and professional programs. Come visit a class and see what it's like to learn first aid or CPR and speak with students and instructors about these crucial life saving skills.
