The Knoxville Area Chapter of the American Red Cross is a humanitarian
organization, led by volunteers, that saves lives;
resolves crises and emergencies; maintains health
and prevents disease; and helps people help themselves.
Because people like you are willing to share their
valuable time and talent, the Knoxville Area Chapter
is able to provide lifesaving programs and services
to our communities. More than 3,000 volunteers—from
youths to seniors—form the backbone of our
chapter. Everyday they provide professional expertise
and office support; help for people affected by
fires and other disasters; training in first aid
and CPR; emergency messages for military families
and leadership programs for young people.
The Red Cross welcomes volunteers of all ages, cultures and backgrounds. In fact, as we strive to serve communities that are growing more diverse every day, our need for volunteers with foreign language skills is more important than ever.
