Local Disaster Program Support
The American Red Cross is not a government agency. The
programs and services of the Red Cross are provided primarily
through the generosity of individuals, businesses, and
foundations who give voluntary gifts of time and money.
Knoxvillians know that they can depend on the Red Cross
in times of disaster.

In-Kind Giving
An in-kind donation is a contribution of items and/or
services in lieu of cash. Examples of in-kind donations
the American Red Cross, Knoxville Area Chapter will consider
includes:
- Services from companies, such as printing, shipping,
banners, graphic and video design
- Services from professionals, such as trainers, consultants,
and designers
- “Bulk donations” that are palletized—large
donations of a single product, such as water, blankets,
diapers, tarps, and paper products
- Donated goods, such as cell phones, office supplies,
food and beverages, and meeting and event facilities
- Items for our School Health Clinics may include: arm
& leg splints, bandages, washcloths, wet wipes,
paper towels, sponges, thermometers, lysol, bleach,
baking soda, and garbage can/bags.
- Medical training equipment for Certified Nurse Assistant
Training Program, such as blood pressure cuffs, walkers,
canes, bedside commode and shower chairs. These items
need to be new or in good condition.
When thinking about donating goods or services to the
American Red Cross, Knoxville Area Chapter please contact
us so we can determine if we have a need for the product
or service, and/or the means to accept your donation.

Honorariums/Memorials
Click here to designate your gift in honor or in memory of someone. An acknowledgement card will be sent to the honoree/family notifying them of your gift.
Special Events
The Knoxville Area Chapter has periodic Special Events
to raise funds for local services in our community. There
are several ways to participate through sponsorships,
volunteer opportunities and in-kind donations. Contact

There are many ways that you can support the Knoxville
Area Chapter. You can sponsor our annual CPR Saturday,
or you can underwrite the cost of our ongoing programs
in health and safety, water safety, or HIV/AIDS education
and prevention. When you sponsor a Red Cross special event
or program, your company's name will be featured on all
promotional materials, included in all media releases,
and be listed in our quarterly newsletter and Annual Report.
