Responsible for coordinating
all aspects of the Red Cross Certified Nurse Assistant
Training Program under the direction of the Director of
Nursing as outlined below:
I. Teaches the NAT Course
in an as needed capacity up to and including the class
in its entirety.
II. Maintains American
Red Cross and professional standards.
III. Supervises program
of instruction under the direction of the Director of
Nursing.
IV. Assists the Director
with overseeing the students payments and working with
different agencies.
V. Apprises Director of
Nursing and Director, Health and Safety Services of all
developments and activities
associated with the NAT Program.
VI. Serve on committees
as necessary for the development and implementation of
new health
care training programs.
VII. Position Requirements
A. Must take
and pass the Nurse Assistant Training Course
within 6 months of initial appointment.
B. Must be
an LPN or RN with at least two (2) years
experience in direct patient care, one of
which must be in a long-term care facility
service. Must have experience teaching adult
learners.
C. Must have
a current and valid nursing license as an
LPN or RN in the State of Tennessee. .
