Client Casework: Providing Emergency Assistance

Client Casework is an instructor-led, video-supported
course designed to train new or less-experienced Red Cross
Client Casework Service Associates how to conduct effective
client interviews and provide appropriate assistance to
help meet a client's immediate disaster-caused needs.
Client Casework is intended for Red Cross employees and
volunteers who are interested in acquiring the knowledge
and skills needed to conduct client interviews and provide
emergency disaster assistance to clients.
Participants will be expected to:
- Be in attendance for the entire course.
- Be actively engaged in the learning process by participating
in class discussions and activities.
- Demonstrate comprehension of client casework procedures,
tasks and tools by satisfactorily completing the final
exercise.
This one-day course contains approximately 7 hours of
instruction, two 15-minute breaks and a one-hour lunch
(at the instructor's discretion), to comprise a 8.5-hour
training day. Your attendance and full participation during
the entire course is required.
